Old Tunnel Wildlife Management Area The wildlife management area offers a view of the emergence of millions of Mexican free-tailed bats from an abandoned tunnel. This tunnel operated from 1913 to 1917 and runs from San Antonio to Fredericksburg. The upper viewing deck is free and guided tours are given to the lower observation deck with a fee and reservation.
